We’re Here to Help!
Whether you are a seasoned MR imaging expert or completely new to the field of MRI, CIRC is committed to supporting your image acquisition and post-processing needs.
Investigators wanting to incorporate advanced imaging into their clinical translational research projects are encouraged to contact Dr. Michael Nelson (Director).
Pilot Time
Pilot time is available, subject to internal review and approval. Investigators seeking limited pilot time should submit an application. Successful applications will provide a compelling case for future funding.
Imaging Experts
Our team of imaging experts specializes in multimodal imaging, brain imaging, and more. Connect with them to learn about cutting-edge research or explore collaboration opportunities.
Dr. Mike Nelson – Multimodal Imaging
Dr. Nelson has >15 years experience using magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy to explore questions related to cardiometabolic health. He has extensive experience imaging the heart, blood vessels, skeletal muscle and adipose tissue. His laboratory is also recognized for performing complex multi-modal imaging under physiologic stress, including exercise, transient ischemia, pharmacologic stress, and environmental stress.

Dr. Crystal Cooper – Brain Imaging
Dr. Cooper has over 15 years of experience using MRI to study brain structure and function across the life span, from older adults to pediatric patients. Her research focuses on understanding brain development, cognitive function, and neuropsychiatric conditions. Her Multimodal Imaging of Neuropsychiatric Disorders (MIND) lab combines various brain and behavior measures to elucidate the neural correlates of cognitive processes underlying neuropsychiatric symptoms.
