Images will be stored in the cloud for three years from the date of scanning.
Data storage is ultimately the responsibility of the PI and study team. Do not rely on the CIRC for your long-term image storage.
Scheduling & Cancelling Policy
Time-sensitiveimaging studies may place holds on the scanner. The number and duration of holds will be determined on a study-by-study basis. In consultation with the CIRC manager.
Holds should be clearly indicated in iLAB.
Unfilled holds will be cancelled by CIRC staff if not assigned to a research participant within 7 days of the appointment.
Projects that are not time sensitive will reserve the scanner on iLAB only when a research volunteer is confirmed.
48-hr cancelation policy: Studies cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment will be charged full price.
Safety Screening Failure
Upon reviewing the screening form on the scan day, if the MRI technologist determines that the participant is ineligible to enter the MRI magnet room, the scan will be cancelled, and the study team charged full price.
If are unsure about the participant eligibility or if an implant is MRI compatible, you are encouraged to communicate with the MRI Tech >48-hr prior to the scan date to ensure it is safe to scan the participant.
Adhering to The Approved Protocol
It is the responsibility of the research team to adhere to the study protocol approved by the UTA IRB and CIRC PRC.
Unapproved protocol deviations will not be tolerated.
Changes to an IRB/PRC approved protocol must go through the appropriate review and approval process (SOP002-Section 4.3).
